Welcome to GraceNuth.com!

October 11, 2014/ Grace Nuth

You may have come here because you follow one of my creative pursuits, like my Domythic Bliss blog and Facebook group, my Pre-Raphaelite blog, The Beautiful Necessity, or my fine-art photography modeling pseudonym, Sidhe Etain. In any case, I tend to be a bit of a butterfly creatively, alighting from one project and genre to the next, and I thought it might behoove me to have one central location from which a person might browse through all of my pursuits.

Finding Foxes – Creative Writing Post 1

October 11, 2014/ Grace Nuth

I was inspired by author Erin Morgenstern’s project on her blog, entitled Flax Golden, in which she takes a photograph by Carey Farrell and writes a short piece of creative writing inspired by it. I thought it might be a fun experiment to take one of the photographs I’ve been involved in, and create a story based on each one. After all, I say that my favorite kind of photography to be involved in is narrative or storytelling. I might as well try to tell the story I see!

Welcome to my corner of the internet,

…Welcome to my corner of the internet, where on any given day you might find me sharing a miniature story inspired by a self-portrait from my forest wanderings, a sketch of a faerie maiden, pondered scribblings related to daily magic, and much more.

Come sit for a while and stay, stretch your legs, fins, cloven hooves, whatever type of faerie you may be. Listen to stories, tell some of your own, learn about your hostess, and the mythmaker friends she shares here as well. Step into a painting, adorn your antlers with flowers and acorns for a theme party, and play at make believe: a time-honored tradition that we’re never too old to indulge in.

Celebrate wonder and imagination in all its many forms.
